Wedding Bouquet Scarf Kit

Infuse your wedding flowers into a wearable keepsake, to be worn on special occasions or hung up at home. The process is similar to steeping tea, the boldness and patterns vary with the types of flowers that have been used. For example, white roses will often give soft sienna/golden tones once dyed. Natives will shift to umbers, oranges, and earthy tones. Red roses will print in blush tones and sometimes deep purple depending on if they have been imported or are organically grown. For this reason, no two scarves will be the same and their durability and light fastness will differ from order to order. Botanical dye is not made to last, therefore fading over time will occur.

Our dedication to low-waste craftsmanship encourages practitioners to embrace a holistic and sustainable approach to their creations. Celebrating the innate allure of plant-based dyes, while conscientiously minimising waste. From the utilisation of vinegar fixatives to the incorporation of wooden rollers and natural ties, our commitment to biodegradable materials pervades every facet of the crafting process. Our tutorial is a celebration of natural materials—a refined choreography between creativity and sustainable practices that resonates within the very fabric of the finished keepsake.

Add Ons

You can add extra blank scarves to your kit, including options like the wedding bouquet original size and hair scarves. This means you can easily create thoughtful gifts for friends or even host a unique botanical dye workshop of your own, allowing you to craft beautiful keepsakes that will commemorate your special day for years to come.

  • After the wedding day keep the flowers in a vase either drying or in water. The flowers can then be sent to our studio to be steamed printed.

  • Every bouquet that I have dyed has produced the most beautiful unique print. An entirely white bouquet will produce golden/yellow tones while a bouquet full of red roses will produce deep madder and purple prints. There is never a complete guarantee of the result and that is what makes this process so alluring.

  • Yes! I have died flower bouquets up to twelve months after the wedding. Providing the flowers were kept dried.

  • Botanical dye is natural This means it needs to be taken care of. Washing should be minimal and done in the following way.

    -Hand wash in lukewarm water

-Dry flat in shade, do not expose to direct sunlight when drying.
